Sub-processors

This list names every third party that processes personal data on behalf of TEELS AG (processors under Art. 9 of the Swiss Data Protection Act, or sub-processors under Art. 28 GDPR). It applies to the website teels.ch and the TEELS application and supplements our Privacy Policy.

All sub-processors are established in Switzerland or the European Economic Area (EEA), and the data is processed only there. No data is transferred to any other country.

Hetzner Online GmbH

• Location: Gunzenhausen, Germany
• Service: servers for the TEELS application and its database, in data centres in Germany; backup storage (Storage Box) in Germany.
• Data: all data stored in the application – user accounts, tenants, end customers, locations, meters and readings. The volumes are encrypted, and backups are encrypted before they leave the server.

Infomaniak Network SA

• Location: Geneva, Switzerland
• Service: sending the application’s emails (sign-in, invitations, subscription) and our mailbox. On the customer’s request, also hosting the application in Switzerland.
• Data: recipients’ names and email addresses and the content of the emails, for example sign-in and invitation links. When hosting in Switzerland: the same data as Hetzner.

Payrexx AG

• Location: Thun, Switzerland
• Service: card payments for subscriptions, including storing the payment method for renewals.
• Data: the paying customer’s contact details (name, email address, company, address, phone number) and the payment data. You enter your card details directly on Payrexx’s payment page; TEELS never receives them.

bexio AG

• Location: Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland
• Service: accounting and invoicing.
• Data: our customers’ billing and contact details. Data from the application, such as load profiles or end-customer data, never reaches bexio.

Services we run ourselves

TEELS AG runs the following services itself, on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH. They are not additional recipients, but are listed here for completeness.

• Operational monitoring: logs, metrics and traces of the application, used to detect errors and keep the service running. Logs may contain email addresses and the names of end customers, locations and tenants. They are transmitted only over a private network and deleted after 30 days.
• Web analytics (Umami): cookieless, anonymous statistics for the website teels.ch, see the Privacy Policy, section 5.
